Roles of Captains

Captains are responsible for the instruction and supervision of each section in their family e.g. The Woodwind Captain would ensure that all ‘Woodwind Section Leaders’ are providing quality instruction (music or visual) to the members of their section.  The Captains are responsible for ensuring that all Section Leaders are completing their tasks appropriately and setting a quality and appropriate example to their section of what our organization stands for.  Should a Section Leader have an issue with anyone in their particular section or in another section they should FIRST report it to the appropriate Captain.  The Captain will then consult a director for further action.

Roles of Section Leaders

Section Leaders are responsible for each individual member of their section.  Section Leaders will assist in teaching and reviewing both music and drill.  Section Leaders will ensure that each individual member of their section is where they need to be, at all times, doing what they need to be doing.  Should a Section Leader have an issue with a particular member of their section or in another section they should FIRST report it to the appropriate Captain.  The Captain will then consult a director for further action.

 

**ALL CAPTAINS AND SECTION LEADERS WILL BE REQUIRED TO ATTEND LEADERSHIP CAMP ON JULY 15TH FROM 9:00AM – 2:00PM.
